Historic Oakland Mansion Wedding Photography

I often meet with brides and give them some ideas for shots depending on the venue. One venue where I particularly like shooting is the Historic Oakland Mansion in Columbia, MD. The mansion has very ornate molding and beautiful turned staircases. The grounds are also impeccably maintained. Noel and Jed’s wedding was one of my favorites and it was shot there. The tent was a very nice touch and allowed for some very memorable moments and good backdrop for photos. From a photographer’s point of view, the mansion is an excellent location for a wedding and or reception. In addition, the mansion is very close to Lake Kittamaqundi, which is a very nice place to do formals or other bride and groom shots. The Lake Kittamaqundi wedding photography was very scenic and the bride and groom loved the images I captured. There was numerous locations to shoot depending on time of day and other events going on at the lake. All in all Columbia, MD is a very good choice for wedding photography.
