Meet the Papas Family. I traveled to Newark to shoot the family portraits. I was really impressed as they were color coordinated and had no guidance from me, seriously. When working with kids, you only have about 30-45 minutes before they get restless. On this day, we had to bribe the girls with countless M&M candies and toys. I also had to barter with the girls as well, I would let them look at the image on the LCD. Only problem is that I would only get one shot off before they sprinted toward me screaming, “I wanna see!!” It also helped that the kids were in their own environment and they were instantly relaxed in front of the camera. This is why I prefer to shoot portraits on location… I thoroughly enjoyed working with them to get pictures of their family.
