Vonetta & Lee : Philadelphia Engagement

One word: HOT! This word describes the temperature outside, as well as this couple. Vonetta and I go waaayy back and I was happy to do their engagement photos for them. They chose Newlin Grist Mill for the session, and it was the perfect backdrop for the pictures. They were naturals in front of the camera and we had a ball catching up on old times.

Allison & Martin : Baltimore Wedding Photographer

Allison and Martin were married at the Eastern Yacht Club. This is probably the most passionate couple that I have ever photographed. The wedding was small yet elegant and the yacht club had made for a pretty nice backdrop. I really tried to capture the love that these two share in their pictures.

Vilas & Naja : Baltimore Second Shooter

First off, I LOVE being a second shooter at weddings. It allows me the creative freedom to create photojournalist images. I shot this one with James of BE Photography. This was also my first Indian wedding and it was quite the event. The families of both Vilas and Naja were awesome! Their cousins and siblings danced for them at the reception and they all did a great job. I covered Vilas getting ready with his groomsmen and family. James covered Naja and her bridesmaids and family. We then met up at the church to cover the ceremony and reception together. This was a very big wedding so having two shooters was a good call by the bride and grooom. Congratulations Vilas and Naja.

Heather and Tory : Washington DC Wedding Photographer

Meet Heather and Tory. They were married inside the Washington, DC LDS Temple. I met the bridal party outside as we waited for Heather and Tory to emerge. The bridal party was a fun group and while they were lined up to welcome Heather and Tory they would clap and cheer for every couple that came out!! To see the expressions on peoples faces as a group of strangers clap for you are you emerge from the Temple. At any rate, Heather and Tory make a smoking couple and the reception was very lively to say the least. Congrats Heather and Tory! Now for the pictures.

Grant goes to Gymboree: Delaware Lifestyle Photographer

Today we took our boss, I meant our four month old to Gymboree for play time. The class was really cool and I think Grant and his mommy enjoyed themselves tremendously. I think his favorite is when they dropped the parachute on his head!!! There were definitely times when he was not interested, but what can you expect from a four month old. I decided to bring the big camera for this class! At least two people said, “now that is some camera!!” This is was somewhat challenging to photograph, because I had to maintain my distance so not to disrupt the class. Ok, enough typing onto the pictures!!

Papas Family Portraits

Meet the Papas Family. I traveled to Newark to shoot the family portraits. I was really impressed as they were color coordinated and had no guidance from me, seriously. When working with kids, you only have about 30-45 minutes before they get restless. On this day, we had to bribe the girls with countless M&M candies and toys. I also had to barter with the girls as well, I would let them look at the image on the LCD. Only problem is that I would only get one shot off before they sprinted toward me screaming, “I wanna see!!” It also helped that the kids were in their own environment and they were instantly relaxed in front of the camera. This is why I prefer to shoot portraits on location… I thoroughly enjoyed working with them to get pictures of their family.

Jamila & Michael : White Marsh Wedding Photographer

Well, there is a first time for everything. The wedding actually started EARLY. The reception also started promptly on time!! Jamila made a beautiful bride, it was actually hard to take a bad shot of her. Jamila and Michael make a great couple and their friends had a blast at the reception. Aubrey & Mick: Mountain Branch Golf Course Wedding Photographer

Boy was it windy at Mountain Branch Golf course last week. Nevertheless, Aubrey and Mick had an awesome wedding in the tent overlooking the course. The staff was awesome and everyone had a great time. We got a chance to head down the the 12th hole and do some shots of Aubrey and Mick before it got dark. Did I mention how windy and cold it was that day? I think this is one of the few times where the guys were happy to have a tuxedo! Congrats to Aubrey and Mick. Thanks James for the great clients!!

Historic Oakland Mansion Wedding Photography

I often meet with brides and give them some ideas for shots depending on the venue. One venue where I particularly like shooting is the Historic Oakland Mansion in Columbia, MD. The mansion has very ornate molding and beautiful turned staircases. The grounds are also impeccably maintained. Noel and Jed’s wedding was one of my favorites and it was shot there. The tent was a very nice touch and allowed for some very memorable moments and good backdrop for photos. From a photographer’s point of view, the mansion is an excellent location for a wedding and or reception. In addition, the mansion is very close to Lake Kittamaqundi, which is a very nice place to do formals or other bride and groom shots. The Lake Kittamaqundi wedding photography was very scenic and the bride and groom loved the images I captured. There was numerous locations to shoot depending on time of day and other events going on at the lake. All in all Columbia, MD is a very good choice for wedding photography.

Delaware Portrait Photographer- Brandywine Battlefield State Park

I took part in a shoot organized by mKPhoto and Jeff Reeder Photography at Brandywine Battlefield State Park as part of the “Just ask Mike and Jeff” workshop series. We went out during the worst time of the day to shoot (11am-1pm). We were able to get some really good shots of the two beautiful models, Genna and Heather. We used natural light and reflectors and took advantage of the great architecture.
